The Necessary Storm

Have you ever found yourself up late at night, tossing and turning, trying to figure a certain matter out? Like, you totally knew that you had to hand it over to the Lord, and that's what you very well thought you did... However, when you turned your situation over to the Lord, all hell broke loose. Many tears formed, a plethora of negative thoughts & doubts submerged your mind & spirit. You just couldn't shake it (it being what you thought was the enemy all along)!

 If you've not been there, maybe you know someone who's confided in you about their situation with this. Well ladies & gentlemen, I've been there too many times. I was always quick to say, "I rebuke that", "devil, get under my feet", or whatever other old-school baptist sayings I knew. Until I learned that sometimes the chaos you're going through isn't the enemy, but is the Lord prepping you for your next season. It can totally be uncomfortable! And why shouldn't it be? That's a part of a walk... Uncomfortable moments! Those moments when the Lord allows for our growing pains to be less than desired. This is in all honesty when the devil is comforting us to not believe, not press forward, not seek God, or better yet, be mad with our Heavenly Father, by questioning His process & not trusting Him. 

Sound familiar?! Well the best way to combat this predicament, is to listen to the Holy Spirit, and stop giving the enemy credit. The Necessary Storm you are going through, is being directed & orchestrated by the Lord. 

The Word says in 1 Peter 1:7 - 
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests & purifies gold - though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

 He never said it would be easy... And He promised not to let you ride it out alone. So many stories in the Word show it to be a well worth it journey. He knows that the downpour of the storm is going to not only work out in your favor, but He'll get the glory!


Remember, you've got to go through, to get to, what God had for you!

Mount Up!

Do you ever find yourself wondering, if it's not one thing, then it's another? Do you notice yourself having to rebuke the enemy left & right, then right & left? Are you drawing weary in faith & wondering why you're always dealing with a certain situation, and/or why it's taking God so long to show up & show out? Or, let me guess, the tricks of the enemy continue to gut punch you at the most inopportune times!?
