Are You Getting In God's Forever Way?

No really, ask yourself... Say, 'Self - am I getting in God's forever way?'...
I bet you either are now, or you have & didn't even realize it. 

Let me first start by changing your view on 'forever', because forever is not promised. God never really promises tomorrow... Or I should say the worldly tomorrow you're thinking of. What He promises is His plan for you as it relates to eternity with Him. Some feel that if you're a believer & follower of His word, you're kept today & tomorrow. So then you're invincible to trials & tribulations... Right? Wrong! 
You must then ask yourself, 'are you getting in God's forever way here on earth today'? Are you sabotaging the blessings He has for you, and prolonging your current situation(s)... Therefore enduring unnecessary heartache & pain? Maybe. If you can answer yes to either of these:

- Are you holding on to bad habits? 
- Do you continue to entertain the wrong people and/or environments to feel accepted (here on earth)? 
- Is your flesh desiring the total opposite of what the Holy Spirit is convicting you of, & you disobey the direction (not just physically, but mentally & spiritually too)? 
- Are you in fear of not pleasing man, and putting pleasing God to the side (which can negatively impact your forever promise)? 
- Have you come up with your own sabotage point (be it big or small) & could totally place it right here, due to feeling convicted right now?

Well my friend, then you too have gotten (or are getting) in THE way! 

We've all been there a time or few... It's so easy to not, but much easier to, get in His way - His eternal promise(s) for you! But as long as you're still living & breathing, you've got time to correct it. So here's what to do.


Let Him fully in your life, your situation, your relationship, your heart & your dreams... And then leave Him be to direct & guide you to not only your victory, but to where He gets the glory. 

Married couples - Give in to God & welcome Him wholeheartedly into your union & most importantly all decisions! Knowing that it will be uncomfortable, yet in the long-run worth it. 

Single children of God - Listen to God for the ordering of your steps... And be ok if it takes you in a total opposite direction of 'your' plan. Knowing that tears may join you, but victory is closer than you think.  

Remember that pleasing God today, is the perfect antidote for your eternal/forever promises to breakthrough! Be ok with where God has you now in His glorious plan... Find comfort in Him & His word... Trust in His will & ways... And make it a point to understand that tomorrow on earth isn't promised, but all you do today will impact your eternal/forever with our Heavenly Father!

So don't get in God's forever way, because you don't have 'control' & things aren't going the way you feel is right... He sees the whole picture! When in all honesty, you don't know what you see, because you don't know what you don't know!

Pausing... It's Necessary!

For 2018 I asked the Lord to help me with patience... Yes, I did. And so far, four months in, I don't regret asking for it. I've realized that whenever I've gone through good times or bad times, there were times where I felt like it was so much time in-between the situation & the breakthrough. However, during my in the mean time between time moments, I often found myself asking God, 'Lord, when is it my time?', 'When do You plan to show up Lord?', or even 'Alright now Lord, can't You see I can't handle this?'.
