Catch Up! Before Getting Caught Up.

Image
Often times we get so 'caught up' in the hustle & bustle of life, we may: forget to call and/or text someone back, we say we'll schedule a lunch and/or dinner date & then week's go by... We may even tell our self, 'self, we're going to go somewhere or do something relaxing, because life has gotten so busy'.  I don't have enough hands & fingers to count how many times I've done any of the above. I always had good intentions, but the follow-thru wasn't there. Okay, let me take it one step further, and you ( yes, you ) may not like it. Have you ever gotten 'caught up' in either of the following situations: - Saying, 'I need to dwell in the presence of my Heavenly Father more', but don't? - Have you thought to yourself, Lord I'm going to praise You... Right after I tell so and so about what You did for me & then Snapchat, Instagram & Facebook it, so it's real!?  - Have you genuinely forgotten to c...

What Your Response Should Always Be!

Image
True faith exudes from within your soul. Your outlook should always coincide with God's vision.  Worldly disappointments need to diminish quickly when and/if you're governing yourself accordingly.  Wants & desires that are truly your wants should go away.  Why do I reference the above? Because, often times our disappointments linger in our spirit as a result of our own doing. God can move your mountain(s)! There are sayings that even mention that it just takes faith the size of a mustard seed to move a mountain (your circumstance). But what about those unmovable mountains? When you pray, pray & 'claim it', but nothing happens the way you requested... How do you respond spiritually, internally and/or in your actions?  Well, this is What Your Response Should Always Be:  Need confirmation or another response?!:  - What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us! - Romans 8:31 So alth...

Mount Up!

Image
Do you ever find yourself wondering, if it's not one thing, then it's another? Do you notice yourself having to rebuke the enemy left & right, then right & left? Are you drawing weary in faith & wondering why you're always dealing with a certain situation, and/or why it's taking God so long to show up & show out? Or, let me guess, the tricks of the enemy continue to gut punch you at the most inopportune times!? Well, since all we can do is trust in & lean on God in our individual matters, all I can tell you to do is ---> Mount Up! God NEVER said following Him would be easy. To the contrary, the word shows several instances where Jesus probably wondered the same above questions! When you find yourself answering yes to any of the above, God knew you'd deal with things, & the encouragement He provides is in Isaiah 40:31 - 'They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They s...

Are You Getting In God's Forever Way?

Image
No really, ask yourself... Say, 'Self - am I getting in God's forever way?'... I bet you either are now, or you have & didn't even realize it.  Let me first start by changing your view on 'forever', because forever is not promised. God never really promises tomorrow... Or I should say the worldly tomorrow you're thinking of. What He promises is His plan for you as it relates to eternity with Him. Some feel that if you're a believer & follower of His word, you're kept today & tomorrow. So then you're invincible to trials & tribulations... Right? Wrong!  You must then ask yourself, 'are you getting in God's forever way here on earth today'? Are you sabotaging the blessings He has for you, and prolonging your current situation(s)... Therefore enduring unnecessary heartache & pain? Maybe. If you can answer yes to either of these: - Are you holding on to bad habits?  - Do you continue to entertain the wron...

You Don't Have To Know How...

Image
You just have to know Who!!! It's that simple.  Is there a particular situation you're in right now that you have no idea how it will begin, play out and/or end? Then you're in good company... As long as you know Who is working behind the scenes, and that there is a 'behind the scenes'. Our Heavenly Father wants us to always remember that He has an ultimate Will that will play out, if we allow Him to move mightily in our lives, understanding that He will get the glory & that it will not always be easy.  In Romans 8:28, it reads - 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.' So let's recap, because as a believer in God you will be tested (more times than you can count)! You may not know how your situation will work out, but you don't have to... As long as you know Who, Is in control!                       ~ From your s...

You're In Good Company!

Image
Have you ever felt like you were going through a particular situation on your own? Do you find yourself listening hard for the Lord for direction on what you should or should not do? How many times would you say you went to a friend and expected them to understand what you're feeling and/or where you're coming from, only for them to reference a scripture or tell you what you already know? Can you relate to one or all three of the above & say to yourself, 'self, she must know me, because she's hitting the nail on the head'! Well guess what brother & sisters in Christ, You're In Good Company! I'm a firm believe that if I wasn't going through... If trials & tribulations didn't come knocking at least once a week... If I didn't feel moments of weakness. Then I must not be doing something right! You see, if the enemy had you, he wouldn't have to try so hard to derail you on your walk. If the enemy had you, he wouldn'...

Pausing... It's Necessary!

Image
For 2018 I asked the Lord to help me with patience... Yes, I did. And so far, four months in, I don't regret asking for it. I've realized that whenever I've gone through good times or bad times, there were times where I felt like it was so much time in-between the situation & the breakthrough. However, during my in the mean time between time moments, I often found myself asking God, 'Lord, when is it my time?', 'When do You plan to show up Lord?', or even 'Alright now Lord, can't You see I can't handle this?'. Yet, when I look back on all those times, those periods in my life were nothing more than a pause...  That was definitely necessary! Pausing during your journey is necessary in so many ways. Don't you understand that He's moving behind the scenes?! In Romans 8:28 , it reads - "And we know that all things work together for good for them that love God and have been called according to His purpose".  In analyzing t...
