Pausing... It's Necessary!
For 2018 I asked the Lord to help me with patience... Yes, I did. And so far, four months in, I don't regret asking for it. I've realized that whenever I've gone through good times or bad times, there were times where I felt like it was so much time in-between the situation & the breakthrough. However, during my in the mean time between time moments, I often found myself asking God, 'Lord, when is it my time?', 'When do You plan to show up Lord?', or even 'Alright now Lord, can't You see I can't handle this?'. Yet, when I look back on all those times, those periods in my life were nothing more than a pause... That was definitely necessary!
Pausing during your journey is necessary in so many ways. Don't you understand that He's moving behind the scenes?! In Romans 8:28, it reads - "And we know that all things work together for good for them that love God and have been called according to His purpose". In analyzing this scripture, as it correlates to all of my previous life instances that I've faced & made it through, I realized how much He Loves us, & even more how awesome of a God it is that we have & serve.
For instance, ... 'And we know that all things work together for good for them that love God'... Was like the Lord saying, 'My child, you don't realize what all I have to orchestrate, coordinate, maneuver, position & sometimes set back, to set you up!' Well when I heard the Holy Spirit speak that to me, I shut up! I became so grateful in knowing that Pausing... It's Necessary! It's the time where you praise Him in the midst of not knowing. Where you chase after Him & seek Him for comfort. It's best to get comfortable in the pausing stage, because soon after will be the next step in your journey towards victory. It's also where you should redirect your negative thoughts into memorized scripture verses to cancel out the verbal tricks of the enemy. And then learn new scripture verses, where you nurture your relationship In the Lord, with bonding time.
To further add, when the scripture concludes with '...and have been called according to His purpose'. Here, I remember how He Is Intentional in all He does. The blueprint of our lives includes tiny details that we don't even see, and would never understand... Yet He knows that everyone & everything has to be on beat, to happen as planned for each of our individual circumstances.
My fellow believers... Yes. Pausing Is Necessary! Learn how to mount up your faith & hope during this time, while resting in the abilities of the Lord. Trusting that He will re-position you accordingly, but in His time, which is always on time. So, you might as well praise Him advance the next time you feel you've been paused!
